Poem page eighteen

Don`t you know you`re beautiful

rose2 Don`t you know you`re beautiful
I see the way you shine
I love your laughter on the phone
And keep your smile in mine eye.
Jasmine sweetness lingers where you`ve been.
And re-awakens longings for your touch
Brings memories of your presence
And the loveliness I`ve seen.

I beg to pet and preen you
And thread flowers through your hair
Daily bring delight with gifts
Little things and cards-
To let you know I care.

You`re a poet and an artist
You`re a scientist too
Precious is your wisdom
I love the things you do.
You`re a mother and a lover
A Tigress, kitten-cub
You`re open and you`re gentle
Sometimes shyly insecure.
I love to hold your hand
Our fingers weft and weave together.
Let me kiss away your tears,
Share with me your fears.
I`m here to bathe your body in fragrant foam
I`m here to soothe your skin with scented oils
I want to powder you and pamper you
Snuggle you warm in a honeysuckle bed
Gently hold you sleeping softly
On waking perhaps I might
Run tender fingers through amber curls
With lips explore rosebud ears
And leave tounge-trace pearls
Shining on your rested form.

I want to worship you
Woman, Tigress, Goddess
Praise you in word, in deed, in need.
Let my love bring blushes to your cheeks
I know that I`m a clumsy, klutzy fool
But be sure that I`m sincere

Within our hum-drum, day to day routine
Let us find the magic, the mysterious
The wonderful to share
Let us fulfill our fantasies
Free the fairy lands.
And if I may lay the best of all creation
And all your hearts desire
In honour at your feet
I can only hope and pray
That the first part of all you wish
May that start with me.

A Duel of Delight and Desperation
